I worked for many years as a secretary and finished up as a medical secretary at a psychiatric hospital in the psychotherapy department. This job, although very demanding was very worthwhile and left me with an interest in psychology and people’s behaviour. I was part of a superb team and we all supported each other and believe me at times this was very necessary.

Although I worked on a word processor for the last nine months of my service I now feel that I want to learn more about the computer. I have four grandchildren and they are using the computer at school and I don’t want to be left behind.

I do not find it easy coping with technology and I hope that this computer class will enable me to come to terms with some of it.

Unfortunately my generation did not have the advantages that the children have today and a class of this kind gives us the chance to make our mark..
