I am interested in Computers primarily because of the demise of the typewriter a machine that I sorely miss. however I have recently acquired one and although aiding my typing mastering the running of the machine s a lot more complex than the old typewriter.
I came to typewriting via my wife who was an accomplished shorthand typist and for me whose writing is not good to say the least it was a god send so I took to It and taught myself to use typewriters. I then came up against the advance of technology and the advent of the Computer the all pervading machine before whom today we are all forced to bow. I started my working life as a Baker and Confectioner. Eleven years at sea and you name it etc etc when I gave up roaming and settled down got married had two children who in turn produced to date three Grandchildren. My main hobby is painting and drawing. I like sailing and have small boat which I am in the process of refurbishing as well as trying to master using the computer.
