I was born under the sound of Bow Bells making me a true cockney.
As an infant I moved to Stamford Hill and then the war broke out and I was evacuated to Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire until the war was over and then moved back to London.  I became Head Girl of my senior school  Northwold  Road in Clapton  London E5.  I then went to Pitmans college.

After  leaving  I worked in the fashion business and eventually opened my own business.

I eventually married with Ted and had 2 sons, and now have 5 grandchildren.
