The programme involved:
- Working as an individual and as a group
- Researching using the Internet and other methods
- Communicating with other organisations and agencies
- Promoting e-Learning by using email, online group discussion, digital cameras and scanners
- Learners to take control of their own learning
What the learners said about the project:
“During the period I spent with the group constructing and building this website I found the teacher (Bea) and my fellow colleagues both useful and helpful and entertaining.
The enthusiasm and pursuit of local information and history is astounding and those involved should be proud of the effort and time spent in the makeup of the Hainault Community Website. I am sure that the final result will be helpful to those people who will eventually use it.
Regards Ed “
"I am enjoying this project as it involves researching into the history of Hainault and, as a resident since 1962, it is nice to know its
history. I hope that, when people see the website in the future, it will encourage them to consider this area as a place to live, work or take their leisure.

"I see this project as a bringing together of the skills, gained on previous computer courses, with the personal stories and interests of the students, together with information about the local area, to produce a website that will be of interest to those that either live, or are considering living in the area, or are just interested in finding out about Hainault past, present and future.
By including the environs, I hope it will increase the interest of the students who do not actually live in Hainault, but are associated with it in some form.

"During the past few months we have been researching information, both historical and current on the Hainault area to enable us to build a website which would be of interest to the general public.
This has proved to be an interesting project, as we are also learning a lot about the area in which we live, whilst improving our computer skills and learning how to build a website.

""This project helps to practice the skill we have learnt on previous courses.
It also has created an interest in changes made in the Hainault area both past and present
