Winston Spencer Churchill was in my opinion  the greatest politician that ever lived.
I even named my eldest son Spencer after him.   He was Prime Minister from l940
to l946 .  He certainly made sure that Britain won the war.

He used to smoke cigars and always put two fingers up giving a V sign for peace.
He was born in Blenheim Palace in 1874.  Blenheim Palace was awarded to his family for helping to win the battle of Blenheim.

He was married to Clementine Hozier in September l908 at St. Margarets
Westminster. 

They had 4 children, but unfortunately l died of meningitis at a very young
age her name was Marigold.

In 1924 he was elected by Epping with a majority of 9000 votes. At that time
Baldwin was Prime Minister and invited him to become Chancellor of the Exchequer.  He promptly took office.

Churchill was considered to be the greatest twentieth century British Statesman.
